Welcome to Jenuine Cupcakes!
*hands you a chocolate peanut butter cupcake*

I'm really excited to share some of Harlequin TEEN's upcoming titles and the interviews I had the chance to do with a few of their authors.

Today I have # 1 New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Jennifer L. Armentrout. White Hot Kiss is Book 1 in The Dark Elements Series and is all kinds of fantastic! Click here to read my review.

White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Harlequin TEEN

 Tuesday, February 25, 2014

ISBN: 978-0-373-2110-4

One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne…it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.

Harlequin TEEN Spotlight: Q&A with Jennifer L. Armentrout

1) If your main character had a theme song, what would it be and why?
Layla's theme song would probably be Korn's “Freak on a Leash.”

2) Which character was the most fun to write?
Definitely Roth. He has a lot of interesting aspects about him, especially his tattoos, and he's just a fun, witty, and sexy character.

3) If you could spend twenty-four hours as one of your characters, who would you choose and why?
Probably Zayne. He likes to eat ice cream, so I'd probably get to do that. Spending time with Roth would probably end in jail time. I could eat ice cream while waiting to be bailed out. ;)

4) What is your writing style, are you a plotter or a panster?
Fly by the seat of my pants.

5) What's the last book you read and loved?
Rome by Jay Crownover. It's a New Adult book.

6) Best piece of writing advice you've ever received?
To write every day, even if it's a few words.

Thanks Jennifer!
